The Eiffel Tower was built for the Exposition Universelle in 1889, and it was meant to be dismantled in 1909.

The Eiffel Tower has since the Exposition Universelle been standing as one of the most famous sights in the main capital of France, and the 300 meter steel construction has been the center of many events.
