The War Museum Musée de l'Armée was opened in 1905, and is today one of the largest military museums in the world with an astonishing collection of different weapons from different time periods.

The War Museum's location in Hotel Des Invalides provides visitors a great historical starting point for a museum tour.

The museum's collections stretches itself from antiquity to the 20th century. In addition to military effects you will also find Napoleons's tomb in the church at the Invalides, which is a part of the whole building complex (Les Invalides).

Opening hours

Musée de l'Armée is opened every day except from christmas, January 1, May 1 and November 1.

  • Opening hours, summer: 10 AM - 6 PM
  • Opening hours. winter: 10 AM - 5 PM
